Linux Server Restart and Shutdown Commands

First of all, you access your server with PUTTY software.


All you have to do after access is to follow the commands.


To reboot the server: reboot

To shut down the server: shutdown

To shut down the server at a specific time (Example: 23.00): shutdown - 23:00

To shut down the server after a specified minute (Example: after 5 minutes): shutdown -h +5

To restart the server after the specified minute (Example: 10 minutes later): shutdown -r +10
